Spring is in the Air!

Everything holds a promise of new life.   The lilies are poking their leaves up through the flower beds, the grass is turning green, weeds are coming up and I even saw some dandelion flowers today!  The gophers are digging holes everywhere.  Today, when I was in town, I drove down River Road and there were the geese and their little goslings!  So cute!!!

The cats took over the garage when the bitter cold days of winter were with us.  They had a heat light and were quite cozy and happy.  Today I took the cat paraphernalia to the deck, or to storage, and washed all the cat fuzz and dander off the floor.  They got into everything out there!!   First came the sweeping of the floor and then it was washed with bleach and water.   Of course, since the garage door was wide open, the cats all came trooping through to see what I was doing.

Summer will be busy this year, with company coming, and it is going to take us the next two months to prepare.  It is exciting to see things getting done after being housebound from the bitter cold most of the winter!  Next week starts the garden!

God is good and I thank Him for the eternal Hope we have in Him and for these wonderful blessings He has given us in this world.

Rejoice

If you have tuned into the Rejoice radio station you have found a hidden treasure.  Their playlist carries upbeat Christian songs that are beautiful...full of peace and full of love for God.   It is 90.3 on our radio dial.

"Daystar Shine Your Light Down On Me" is one of the great  songs they play.  I don't know who sang the song on the radio, but here is the song on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IVSyVDy1w8

Gotta Do It!

I went to the doctor today and was told, "Excercise, exercise, exercise!"  (Help!)   An operation is in the future, but, if I can strengthen the muscles in my abdomen and back, I might be able to keep the doctor's knife out of the picture for awhile longer.   So, today I went to the pool and then stayed for the exercise class.  That was fun!  Tiring, but fun!  The instructor played classic rock, which was the dance music of the late sixties and early seventies.    Its amazing how light one feels in the pool.  I felt like a feather and could dance while in the water.  Afterwards, as I walked up the steps out of the pool, I felt like the weight of the world was upon me.  Its amazing how God created this world!

The rain began this afternoon.  This is a perfect day to now make some scones.  It was a great Easter weekend.  The rest of this day is going to be to relax.  Tomorrow...and every day....more exercises...and so on, for the rest of my life.  There must be a fun way to exercise, I can only go to the pool once or twice a week.  I can't complain though, there are so many people hurting and so many disabled!   I am sure they would burst into tears of happiness,  if they could just do some sit-ups to overcome their burden.   God help us all.
