The wind outside was cold, but inside the temperature warmed up as I heated up the oven to bake some scones. The only fruit available was dates. Then oatmeal was substituted for the 5 grain flour and margerine for the butter. We had some cream in the fridge and it was substituted for 3/4's of the milk.
I held my breath waiting for the first batch of scones to come out of the oven. Finally, fresh from the oven, I was able to have a taste. It was delicious.
Sitting at the table, with my back soaking up the rays from the sun, I enjoyed the scones with a glass of water, as I read the mail and newspaper.
Superfuzz, the kitten, was now outside, and trying to be very sneaky and peaking over the last remaining snowdrift, to check out the dogs. She runs circles around Sam, the big black dog, but then Sam does need the exercise.
Out of touch with the rest of the world for the afternoon, it was peaceful and enjoyable. God is good.

The Price for the New Life to Come
Watching the great destruction and loss of life that happened and is still happening in Japan right now, brings the realization that we are living on the brink of a new age. That our lives, as children of God, though fragile in this world, will live again in the new world to come.
We don't deserve this new life -- to live in the glory of an awesome God - refreshed and renewed and made whole, instead we do deserve eternal death! Yet, we are saved!! The penalty of death for our sins, that we could never overcome, has been paid in full by the sacrifice of one man - born of woman, yet born of the Spirit of God--the only begotten Son of God. His holy and perfect life lived totally dedicated to the saving of mankind, His death on the cross became the sacrifice paid for mankind's sins. No other man could pay the price, only the Son of God, Jesus Christ. All done because He loved each of us!
Another video on the blog today. It is "New Again". Use the time we have left to bring all to Jesus. The tribulation is God's wake up call to us that He is God and He is in control. Many people will open their eyes to the truth and believe, and worship God and be saved. Walk with Him and know Him now, He is coming soon!

Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“ Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.”
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”
14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.”
So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. 16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Lead Me
"Lead Me" was added to the videos. What a beautiful song! The Lord's plan for the family is perfected in love.
Ephesians 5 (Marriage—Christ and the Church) 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Ephesians 6 (Children and Parents) 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
