Evidence from the Bible that there is one
God--and, that God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
First, I don’t think mankind
can ever comprehend the true scope of God, who created everything, from the
innermost parts of our parts, and those of all life and creation itself. A God who created the greatest unspoken
miracles that we cannot even fathom, the creation of a soul, the creation of
the ability to love, of emotions, of speech, to have wisdom, and all things we
so take for granted. But, this God of
all, has given us His Word, in written form.
The Bible has had many
attacks, wherein many have used their interpretation to rewrite a Bible. Yet the Word written today has surpassed the
passage of time, as ancient relics prove His Word, as written in the Bible, to
remain the same as the day they were written.
Is this a task that is too difficult for the Lord? In
this time when false Bibles are written to cover all sins, and to change and pervert
the Word of God, we find it is also the time when we have the power to
diligently search for the Bible that preserves the scriptures. Were the Black Sea Scrolls discovered for such
a time as this, to substantiate the writings of the Bible as remaining true..
There is but one God; and that one God is
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is absolute on this.
Matthew 28:19 19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Baptizing in the trinity.)
John 8: 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before
Abraham was, I am. (“I Am” is the
word that God the Father used to describe himself in the old testament.)
John 10: 30 I and my Father are one.
(Jesus himself confirmed there is one God.)
John 14: 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet
hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and
how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? (Jesus tells us that He and the Father are
one.)
John 14: 16 And I will pray the Father, and
he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; (The Holy Spirit came to us, when Jesus returned to
Heaven.)
Galatians 3: 19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It
was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the
promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. 20 Now
a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. (Jesus is our mediator that stands
independent, but is one in God.)
Colossians
1: 15 Who is the image of the invisible
God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were
all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by him, and for him:
(Jesus, the first born to be raised from the dead, as the son of man, overcame
death; death had no power over Him, and the power of death over the rest of mankind was
lifted. The sentence of death was taken.
Jesus is “son of man” but He also “son of God”, and He is God. He was there from the
beginning and became man to save the world.)
One cannot believe what Jesus says and then call him a liar. He is either God, or He isn’t. He cannot be
only “man” or he would not be able to overcome death. Nor,
can he be a second God, for as God Himself, from the beginning, has said, there
is only one God. Either the Bible is
true when Jesus says he is God, or the whole Bible is false. We cannot pick out true parts and false
parts, it will all be corrupt.
